The storage system absorbs excess electricity from wind and photovoltaic systems in the windy north and makes it available when energy is needed \u2013 an important contribution to grid stability and the efficient integration of renewable energies. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"From-planning-to-operation-%E2%80%93-implementation-by-bestoraged\"><\/span>From planning to operation \u2013 implementation by be.storaged<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n<p>Terra One developed the battery storage system up to the &#8220;Ready-to-Build&#8221; phase and remains the owner of the system. The storage system was built on a plot of land measuring approximately <strong>1,300 square meters<\/strong> in the Oersdorf district of Ahlerstedt. The grid connection was carried out in close coordination with the regional grid operator <strong>EWE NETZ GmbH<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>be.storaged<\/strong>, as a project partner, took over the complete structural implementation as well as the subsequent <strong>operation and technical maintenance<\/strong> of the system. This means that be.storaged is responsible for all central steps in turning the project idea into a reliable and economically operated storage solution. <\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;As an implementation partner, we bear the responsibility for ensuring that a project idea becomes a reliable system,&#8221; says <strong>Dr. Magnus Pielke<\/strong>, Managing Director of be.storaged. &#8220;In Ahlerstedt, we were able to show how we combine planning, procurement and construction into an integrated solution. The project illustrates how crucial precise technical implementation and close cooperation are for the success of large-scale storage systems.&#8221; <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Intelligent-operation-and-secure-financing\"><\/span>Intelligent operation and secure financing<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n<p>The storage system is optimized via the <strong>AI-based platform<\/strong> developed by Terra One, which automatically determines optimal charging and discharging times based on real-time data. This enables the system to react flexibly to market changes, stabilize the power grid and support the integration of renewable energies. <\/p>\n\n<p>The financing of the project was secured by <strong>Varengold Bank<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Thomas Antonioli<\/strong>, Managing Director of Terra One, also emphasizes the importance of the project:<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;With the commissioning of our battery storage system in Ahlerstedt, we are demonstrating how modern storage technology brings together security of supply and the energy transition. The project is the result of very good cooperation with EWE NETZ, be.storaged and Varengold Bank.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Contribution-to-the-regional-energy-transition\"><\/span>Contribution to the regional energy transition<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n<p>The battery storage system is part of the growing storage infrastructure in Lower Saxony. Due to its location in the windy north, the site is particularly well suited to <strong>absorb peak feed-in from wind energy, temporarily store it and make it usable again with a time delay<\/strong>. In this way, the project not only supports the regional energy transition, but also sustainably relieves the strain on the power grid.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Terra One plans to further expand its storage pipeline in Lower Saxony and other federal states.
