Together with Dirkshof, be.storaged has realized a <strong>20 MW battery system with a capacity of 40 MWh<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p>The system supplements the existing wind turbines with a scalable storage solution and enables significantly more flexible use of wind power. Surplus energy is stored and fed back into the grid as required &#8211; a key contribution to the <strong>integration of renewable energies<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Taking-wind-energy-further\"><\/span>Taking wind energy further<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n<p>For Dirkshof, the battery storage system is a logical next step in the further development of existing wind energy projects. The <strong>intelligent combination of generation and storage<\/strong> creates additional flexibility and increases the efficiency of wind farms &#8211; especially in times of high feed-in and limited grid capacities. <\/p>\n\n<p>The site in Reu\u00dfenk\u00f6ge is an example of how renewable energy projects can be taken further with innovative storage solutions: away from pure electricity production and towards an integrated, flexible energy system.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"From-planning-to-practice\"><\/span>From planning to practice<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n<p>For the planning, realization, operation <a title=\"Operation and maintenance\" href=\"https:\/\/be-storaged.de\/en\/om\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"7331\"><u>operation and maintenance of the battery storage system<\/u><\/a> is the responsibility of the Oldenburg-based company be.storaged. The large-scale battery storage facility was put into operation on schedule following completion of the construction phase. Built on an area of around 500 square meters, the facility is directly connected to the neighbouring wind farm.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Components from the system provider Sungrow and a compact station from elbag Energietechnik are used. Thanks to its modular design, the system can be flexibly scaled and adapted to different project requirements. <\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;At be.storaged, we implement large-scale battery storage systems like the one in Reu\u00dfenk\u00f6ge in a standardized, modular and scalable way. With short construction times and compact space utilization, they are one of many building blocks in the transformation of the energy system.
