Especially the fast charging of vehicles causes high peak electricity loads, which require an expensive grid connection or even overload the supply networks. By using a compact <a title=\"Battery storage system for electromobility\" href=\"https:\/\/be-storaged.de\/leistungen\/batteriespeicherloesungen\/\"><u>battery storage system for electromobility<\/u><\/a>, these current peaks can be absorbed and, in some cases, enable electromobility in the first place \u2013 even far away from highly developed grid infrastructure. At the commuter car park at the Westkreuz in Oldenburg, we have set up a battery storage system to ensure the <strong>necessary charging infrastructure<\/strong>. This storage was commissioned by EWE Go, which, as a 100 percent EWE subsidiary, bundles all topics related to electromobility in the EWE Group, for end consumers and, in particular, for commuters at the Oldenburg Westkreuz.    <\/p><p>From a grid topology perspective, the battery storage system is connected in parallel to the supply grid. Thus, the <strong>downstream charging stations<\/strong> can be supplied both from the power supply grid, from the battery storage system or from a combination of both energy sources. <\/p><p><strong>Scalability<\/strong> \u2013 The system can be expanded modularly: The storage cabinet can be expanded to a capacity of up to 76 kWh. If the capacity or power is still insufficient in the further expansion stages of electromobility in the near future, further storage cabinets can be operated in parallel.
