Ground-up project development: Visbek is ready to go
The development and realization of large-scale battery storage systems requires more than just a really good idea – it requires careful planning, in-depth technical analysis, and close coordination with all relevant stakeholders, from customers and suppliers to authorities, experts, and grid operators.
Our Visbek project is a good example of this process. The battery storage system with a capacity of 20 MW / 40 MWh is now ready for construction, and construction is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2025. From the identification and securing of suitable properties and grid connections to approval management and technical planning, we have accompanied the entire development process from start to finish.
This includes land acquisition, followed by preliminary building inquiries or complete applications, and the reservation of grid connections, always considering grid capacity and voltage. Once planning permission has been granted, the technical implementation can now begin.
Visbek is an important milestone on our development path and creates the conditions for future battery storage projects throughout Germany.
